Welcome !

The "International Marine Academy" is a specialist IYT approved training center for teaching the only worldwide recognised "International Yachtmaster Training" certificated professional and recreational courses for power and sail vessels.

We are an international nautical teaching establishment, one of the few in Europe, specializing in teaching students /candidates from around the world, of all abilities from the absolute beginner to the professional.

We teach both in English and Spanish, however English is the primary language for all exams, tests and for all the STCW'95 safety courses.

The "IYT Yachtmaster Professional" courses and the "IYT International Bareboat Certificate" courses are approved by the British MCA, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the USCG, United States Coastguard and the Scandinavian DNV, Det Norske Veritas.

IYT, "International Yachtmaster Training" are based in Fort Lauderdale, USA; the world center for the luxury superyacht and megayacht industry.

What a variation, from the high tech. to the most basic.

As we all know, some nav.stations work better than others at sea and we all have our preferences which set-up works best.

First time aboard, you never know what you are going to find, let alone if all the instruments work.

No matter what level the IYT training course is, we teach you how to get out of trouble when the electronics stop working.

Forgotten your morse code, who has not ?

It is still worth remembering at least some of the letters and numbers.
A good example is the "Safe water mark or buoy", it can be an isophase light, as well as morse code "A" !
