All the "IYT Master of Yachts 200 tons" courses are designed to further your career through module training programmes, which can be taken at any of the IYT approved training establishments worldwide.
So you can do your STCW95 training in Fort Lauderdale, do your theory in Durban, and your practical with us in Barcelona. As with all the IYT approved establishments, we welcome you for complete modules or just part modules; to fit in with your schedule.

The "IYT Master of Yachts 200 tons" qualifications are recognised by currently 23 governments, including 16 red flag countries. (with the list growing all the time.)
They are the most prestigious and recognised certificates in the world and are essential for any professional working in the superyacht/megayacht industry.

All the courses are approved by the British "Maritime And Coastguard Agency," the "United States Coastguard" and the "Scandinavian Det Norske Veritas."IYT, "International Yachtmaster Training" are based in Fort Lauderdale, USA; the world center for the luxury superyacht and megayacht industry.

Command Qualification.

"Captain/Skipper" of sail vessels under 24 metres in length, 60 Nm limit from a safe haven.

"Second officer/Chief mate" of sail vessels over 24 metres in length but under 200 GT, 150 Nm limit from a safe haven.
or....
"Second officer/Chief mate" of sail vessels over 24 metres in length but under 500 GT, 60 Nm limit from a safe haven.

7 Day combined theory/practical course, with 2x exams.

Command Qualification.

"Captain/Skipper" of sail vessels under 24 metres in length or under 200 GT, 150 Nm limit from a safe haven.

"Second officer/Chief mate"of sail vessels over 24 metres in length but under 200 GT, unlimited distance from a safe haven.
